The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) was established in 1976 under the Lahore Development Authority’s purview to undertake the planning, design, development, and maintenance of Lahore’s water supply, sewerage, and drainage systems. To fulfill its mission, WASA created several specialized directorates. An integral part of WASA’s mission is to ensure the consistent provision of safe, dependable, and efficient water supply to cater to the needs of all sectors.

The organizational structure of WASA is overseen by the Managing Director, who is supported by three Deputy Managing Directors responsible for Finance, Administration & Revenue, Operation & Maintenance, and Engineering, respectively.
